Letters for Liberation is entirely volunteer-run, and we remain committed to abolition as a community. To support this mission, we work with the Social Justice Center in Madison, WI as a fiscal sponsor, and we’re able to accept donations to support our work on a platform called OpenCollective. Currently, we use these contributions to cover expenses such as maintaining a PO Box to accept incoming mail, and hosting our website and database.
In the past, we also maintained a Patreon account that is currently paused. Donations from that account were additionally used to fund donations to pen pals’ commissary accounts and book donations.
If you’d like to support our work, please use the link below to donate. One-time or recurring contributions are welcome.
If you have questions about our finances, you’re welcome to ask at our all-hands meetings, via email, or on Slack.
